My Boys is based on incidents in the life Sir James M. Barrie, creator of Peter Pan. Barrie's encounter with two young boys, George and Jack Davies, in Kensington Gardens, London, leads to his meeting their parents. As his friendship with the Davies deepens, the family grows to encompass five boys. Later, within three years of one another, the parents have died and Barrie undertakes to raise and educate all five boys. Over the course of the next decade, we see the joy and sadness that came with Barrie's devotion to his adopted family.
