Madelyn Sher
Madelyn Sher is a student at the Macaulay Honors College at CUNY Lehman. The daughter of a jazz musician and visual artist, she grew up in an environment that was always conducive to the arts. She studied ballet at The Staten Island Ballet beginning at the age of 9 and eventually discovered her love for acting when she performed in "The Nutcracker." Since then, she has studied at the Professional Performing Arts Middle School, LaGuardia Arts High School, and The Ailey School, where she was lucky enough once again to find herself surrounded by talented and passionate people. She has acted in a number of plays, including The Rimers of Eldritch, Noises Off, and most recently Romeo and Juliet, in which she played Juliet. In 2011 she co-founded Amplified Cactus Salon, an interdisciplinary art collective that provides a platform for young people to create unique forms of art. She is determined to pursue a career in the arts, be it in acting, dancing, directing, choreographing, producing, or any combination of the above! She is thrilled to be a part of Stageplays, where she is sure to be immersed in the exciting world of theatre.
