Steven C. Perkins
Steven C. Perkins is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of
Law with undergraduate degrees in Banking & Finance and International
Relations. Steve has a Master of Law Librarianship degree from the
University of Denver College of Law. He is an inactive member of the Ohio
Bar. After a 21 year career in legal education as an Associate Professor of
Law, Dean, Director of Computing, and Law Library Director at several law
schools, Steve joined a legal software company as the Director of Research.
The company did not survive the dot com crash. He has published in a
number of law reviews with articles on computers and the law, international
human rights, corrupt business practices, and the rights of indigenous
peoples under international law. Steve developed one of the first legal
research sites on the Internet, and several early multi-media marketing
campaigns using HTML, both as websites and on CDROM. In high school,
Steve was part of a folk singing group, and as an undergraduate, studied
voice at the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music as a
subject in a pedagogy course with Italo Tajo and Joseph Cockritz. He plays
both percussion and string instruments. Steve is a U.S. Army veteran and has
worked for several three letter US government agencies.
