Theresa (Terry) F. Teti, DN, MPH, CHES
Dr. Theresa Teti, DN, began her public health career in 1992 working in tobacco control until 1997, when she opened Woman’s Resource Network (WRN) in Monterey, California. In 2004, Dr. Teti re-designed WRN as Community Resources, Inc. (CRI), a public health education and consulting non-profit corporation, where she serves as Executive Director. Since moving to New Mexico in 2004, Terry has served as Coordinator to the Roosevelt County Health Council, where she coordinated activities for the Roosevelt County Local Emergency Planning Council, the JD-9 Behavioral Health Collaborative, and served as evaluator for the Curry County and the Quay County Tobacco Use Prevention and Control Programs (TUPAC). She is currently Coordinator for the Roosevelt County TUPAC program, working with students in six county schools. Other projects Terry has worked in include: Roosevelt County Teen Pregnancy Prevention; Africanized Bee Safety Awareness; County Pandemic Flu Planning; Roosevelt County Dairy Industry Diabetes Education Campaign; Countywide Adult Immunization Information Campaign. Dr. Teti has been an active member of the American Public Health Association since 1994 and served as a founding member and officer of the Alternative and Complimentary Health Practices Special Primary Interest Group (SPIG).
Dr. Teti received a Bachelor of Body Science (BBS), and Doctor of Nutripathy (DN), from American College of Nutripathy (Scottsdale); and earned a BS in Community Health Education, and a Master of Public Health (MPH), from San Jose State University. In 1999 she was selected as Outstanding Alumni of the Year, School of Applied Arts and Sciences, Health Sciences Division, San Jose State University. In 2003, Terry completed coursework for a California Teaching Credential in Special Education, Mild-Moderate, Grades K – 14 from California State University, Monterey Bay. She recently completed coursework for a PhD, Public Health, Community Health through Walden University, and is currently working on her dissertation.
