Tom Ferriter founded Stageplays Theatre Company (Stageplays®), a not-for-profit company formed to develop and produce new plays and musicals for the American theatre which address the issues of our time, in 1992. As an actor, Mr. Ferriter has appeared in leading and supporting roles Off and Off-Off Broadway, on all the major New York daytime soap operas, and on prime time and late-night network television programs. He studied acting with the renowned acting coach, Lee Strasberg, and continued his theatre studies with Stella Adler (Acting), Harold Clurman (playwriting), and Mike Nichols (directing). Tom is a graduate of the Commercial Theatre Institute's Producer Master Class, presented under the auspices of New York City’s Theatre Development Fund (TDF). He is a member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, Actors' Equity Association, the Screen Actors Guild, the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA), and, as producer, an Adjunct Member of The Broadway League.
